Beatle Bottoms Giveaway

art. house. mum.

In amongst the fullness which was the month before Christmas we received a parcel in the post which caused some excitement in our little home.  The parcel contained three packets of wall stickers... one for us to try out round our home and two to share with some happy readers.

Our three immediately fell in love with the little characters and knew exactly which stickers they wanted to go next to their beds!

The story is that an artist from New Zealand (Fiona Whyte) created four apple-tree dwelling characters for stories and illustrations for her grandchildren.  Now she has joined forces with her daughter, Sarah Hill, and works from the northern NSW coastal town of Byron Bay to sell the hand designed vinyl stickers in the hope that they will encourage parents and children to create their own stories for the whimsical characters.

Sarah says, “Beatle Bottoms is a family business that was set up all within the first year of my daughter’s life.  The images my mother, Fiona, painted were inspired by the misadventures of her four children as she used to call us her little Beatle Bottoms as children.  When I had my daughter, we were inspired to share the magic of the Beatle Bottoms with other children and families through wall art so we all began writing the tales together.  The whole family is involved in the business now, even my nineteen year old sister plays a big role – it’s truly a family labour of love.”

So, as a kind of New Years Giveaway I've got two packs of the stickers to share with two happy readers.  There's only one catch.  You have to be local to Toowoomba (or be able to arrange local pick-up in Toowoomba) to enter.

The packs which are for prizes are different to the one pictured here, but trust me, they are just as cute!  Threre's something hand-hewn about these designs which many of the other designs I've seen don't manage to capture.

I'm kind of over the counting followers and facebook likers right now, so the only thing that you need to do to enter (given that you can arrange pick-up in Toowoomba area) is to go to the Rafflecopter box below and answer the question...  Go on... I bet that you've got a great-aunt who lives in Toowoomba and could be home to receive a delivery one morning... everyone has a great-aunt who lives in Toowoomba!

Oh, and while you are at it, you could click here to look at the Beatle Bottoms website and shop, and next time you are on facebook, why not look them up there too.
